School Swimming Carnival - Records Smashed

On Wed 19th November, we ran our school swimming carnival, ready for the Zone carnival early next year. Our swimmers all did their best in their events and can be proud of themselves. The age champions for the carnival were: Junior Boys - Soham S, Junior Girls - Khushi R, Senior Boys - Daniel H, and Senior Girls - Alia H.

A special congratulations goes to Daniel, who won every event in the 12yrs/Senior boys and broke the school record for every race he competed in (Check out his records below). What a huge achievement!

Boys Vocal Workshop

We are excited to share that 20 of our boys participated in the 3-day Boys Vocal Program held at Trackdown Studios, Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park. This non-audition program, led by expert tutors Stuart Davis and Arlo Sim, offered an enriching experience where students developed vocal techniques, ensemble singing skills, and created a harmonised repertoire. Over the first two days, the boys engaged in vocal warm-ups, rehearsed for a music video, and prepared for recording. On the final day, they had the incredible opportunity to record their track alongside professional sound engineers, gaining first-hand experience in the recording, engineering, and mixing process. We are proud of their hard work and look forward to sharing the completed music clip and recording, which will be available to all schools through the Arts Unit website. Our Year 5 & 6 vocalists with Robbie and Ben, the writers of the song.

2025 Schools Spectacular

We are thrilled to announce that 22 of our students from Years 4 to 6 have been successfully selected to participate in this year’s Schools Spectacular. Since 1984, the Schools Spectacular has grown into an iconic cultural event, showcasing the incredible talents of NSW public school students from diverse backgrounds across the state. Held annually at Qudos Bank Arena, this world-class arena production features thousands of performers, including dancers, singers, and musicians, and is one of the largest and most celebrated live entertainment events in Australia. Our students are excited to be part of this spectacular experience, which promotes inclusiveness, artistic excellence, and community spirit, and is proudly presented by the NSW Department of Education. We look forward to supporting them as they take the stage in this unforgettable celebration of young talent.

Please note this show will be televised on Channel 7 (dates to be advised)

Book Parade

Our book parade was a fantastic celebration of reading and creativity! Students dressed up as their favourite book characters, bringing stories to life with colourful and imaginative costumes. Staff joined in the fun, adding to the excitement throughout the event. The whole school turned out to cheer and support the parade, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere. Even Mac, our beloved school mascot, made a special appearance, delighting everyone and making the day truly memorable.

"Our school acknowledges my child's strengths and passions and encourages her to be the best version of herself.” — a parent of Macquarie Fields Public School.
