Vegetable Garden

Macquarie Fields Public School has five garden beds where students grow their own vegetables. Students grow their vegetables from seeds or seedlings. Once they are ready to harvest students sell the vegetables to the teachers. They then use this money to buy more equipment, soil , seeds and seedlings.

Students enjoy growing and harvesting their vegetables. On occasions, when there is a good harvest. Students are able to cook and eat their vegetables. Some of the foods we have made include vegetable lasagne and stir fries.
